Notifications allow you to be informed when a vendor or domain changes, either by a certain amount or if a score falls below a given threshold. This guide outlines how to view notifications in the Dashboard, how to manage how you are notified, and how you can add and configure custom notifications for your organization’s account.
Viewing Notifications in the Dashboard
Notifications can be sent to either your email address or be displayed on the Dashboard. Dashboard notifications appear above the Vendor Breakdown and Your Score panels. Notifications are grouped by type and the individual notifications for a particular type can be viewed by clicking on the notification grouping. Below we are viewing the vendor who’s score has risen above 850 in the last 30 days.
Once you have digested a notification, you can mark it as read by dismissing the notification. To dismiss an individual notification, click the “x” on the right side of the notification. If you have a group of notifications that you’d like to dismiss, you can click Dismiss All in the notification group menu.
If you want to stop receiving notifications of this type, you can also click Don’t Show Me Again in this menu. This will disable all media of notification for this notification type. Managing how you are Notified
To manage how you are notified of score changes, locate the Manage notifications link on the top right corner of the Notifications panel on the Dashboard.
Here, you will see all notification types that exist for your account. Custom Notifications are displayed at the top, followed by in-built notifications that all accounts have. You can choose to be notified of each notification type registered under your account, either via the Dashboard, via Email, both or neither.
This page displays all notification types available for your account and is configured by an Account Admin via the Account Settings page. This page allows you to personnally configure how you are notified of each type of notification.
Here an Account Admin has configured a few custom notification types for all users in our CyberRisk account. The user has chosen to be informed of vendor scores dropping below 600 via the Dashboard, vendor scores rising above 850 via Email, and to not be notified at all when a vendor’s score drops by 10 points in the last week.
Adding Custom Notifications for your Account
CyberRisk Account Admins can add and configure custom notifications to be available for all users in their account. To view custom notifications, navigate to the Notifications tab in the Account Settings page.
We provide you with a few sample notification types for your users to get started with. To add a new notification, click Add a new notification at the bottom of the Custom Notifications list. To remove a notification type, click the trash icon to the right of the corresponding custom notification. Notification parameters can also be modified in place.
Triggering Integrations when notifications are received
As well as delivering notifications to your dashboard or via email, CyberRisk allows you to trigger API calls to your own systems when notifications are received. For more information, see our guide on Integrations.
