Updating your UpGuard virtual appliance behind the firewall is a simple process that typically takes 10-20 minutes. During an update, the appliance will only be offline for 30 seconds or so.

Updating the appliance is a file-free process that uses your browser as a proxy for downloading secure pgp-signed updates from our update server and posting them to your behind the firewall appliance.

  1. Click the Check for Updates button from the Settings page of your appliance.

Available updates will be presented for each appliance package along with accompanying release notes. Clicking the Update button will start the process of downloading available packages and applying them to the appliance.

  2. Once updated, the appliance version will increment and the uptime counter will have been reset after the system restart.
